Emirates’ one year of premium economy in Singapore boasts 26,000 passengers

It is popular among Singapore travellers.

One year since its launch in Singapore, Emirates’ premium economy has successfully carried 26,000 passengers on 730 flights between Singapore and Dubai, reflecting strong demand and positive customer feedback.

"Our customers in Singapore have been loving Emirates Premium Economy and showing great interest in it," said Rashed Alfajeer, Emirates’ Country Manager for Singapore & Brunei.

The premium economy class, available on flights EK 354 and EK 355, has been particularly popular among Middle Eastern travellers and solo travellers from Singapore. Top outbound destinations include London Heathrow, Paris, Barcelona, and New York JFK.

Recognizing the immense potential in Asia's travel and tourism industry, Emirates is committed to being a significant player in this market. "Asia, and specifically Southeast Asia, has long offered travellers a diverse range of tourism products," Alfajeer noted.

Emirates has been steadily increasing its presence in the region, with three Mainland China gateways between Shanghai and Guangzhou. Earlier this year, the airline relaunched flights to Phnom Penh via Singapore, boosting the frequency of Singapore flights to four daily. The direct service between Singapore and Melbourne, reinstated last year, further underscores Emirates' dedication to expanding its network.

Emirates is optimistic about its future growth, supported by strong financial performance and robust customer demand. "Last financial year, Emirates reported a new record profit of $4.7 billion, up 63% from the year before," Alfajeer highlighted.

He added that the airline expects customer demand for transport and travel to remain strong, with a positive outlook for the second half of the year. "We are confident in future growth and success and will continue to deliver even better products, services, and value to our customers."
